- Absinthe –\u00a0<\/strong>A personal favorite of ours and located in the Hayes Valley area.\u00a0 Absinthe is probably the place that most city hall couples choose when they want a nearby dinner celebration with a medium to large group.\u00a0 The wonderful thing about Absinthe is that it has a dedicated wedding reception facility right next to the restaurant.\u00a0 This spacious dining area provides the couple with excellent privacy.\u00a0 The service here is amazing and the food is wonderful.\u00a0 Try the French Onion Soup, it’s fantastic and one of their specialities. For another special wedding day treat, ask the bartender to go through the Absinthe process with the sugar cube melting, etc.\u00a0 It is a fun process and a delicious drink to try. The Absinthe website<\/a><\/strong> has a lot of excellent information about this and other important items on the menu.\u00a0 In addition to all of the above, you can walk here from City Hall!\u00a0 Its about a 10 minute walk but gives you the opportunity to have everyone yell congratulations on the streets.\u00a0 This is always fun for the couple and makes them realize how special their day is.\u00a0 Expect some honking horns while you walk!
<\/li>\n- Hayes Street Grill<\/strong> – Definitely a favorite of the San Francis city hall wedding crowd.\u00a0 \u00a0This is probably one of the closest eateries to city hall.\u00a0 It’s basically less than a 5 minute walk.\u00a0 Known for the innovative cuisine and great bar set up.\u00a0 This place receives very high marks from Yelp and is a great place for people watching.\u00a0 Excellent seafood and grilled meats. The Hayes Street grill<\/a><\/strong> would also be perfect for a smaller group of guests and family. They do not possess a large wedding reception facility.
<\/li>\n- Mr. Tipples Recording Studio –\u00a0<\/b>This is a relatively new place in Hayes Valley and they feature a great bar and Jazz music.\u00a0 I have actually never been here but plan to soon based upon some very high marks on Yelp and Trip Advisor.\u00a0 Lots of Food and Fun at Mr. Tipples<\/a><\/strong> from everything I have read!
<\/li>\n- Doppio Zero<\/strong> – This Italian Pizza restaurant has made a fast rise to the top.\u00a0 It has suddenly become the place everyone is talking about.\u00a0 Their pizzas have already won national awards and are considered to be very authentic Italian.\u00a0 In my opinion,\u00a0 it still comes in second place to Tony’s Pizza in North Beach, but it is recommended here because it is walking distance from San Francisco city hall.\u00a0 \u00a0They serve other food including some Italian dishes.\u00a0 Check out the Doppio Zero website<\/a><\/strong> for more information and having a San Francisco city hall wedding celebration here. This restaurant is large enough for a good sized group of your wedding guests. Located across the street from Absinthe. We can even extend your City Hall wedding photography tour to this location. Also has a nice outside sitting area which allows you to watch the people and traffic go by.
<\/li>\n- Son & Garden – San Francisco\u00a0 –\u00a0<\/strong> Another relatively new place that is VERY close to city hall. It is located on Polk Street and only open for Lunch. They close at 3:00 pm so it will work with City Hall weddings in the morning until about 1:00 PM\u00a0 Its is more for casual dining, but still a great place to go.\u00a0 The food is very healthy and considered to be part of the new farm-to-table trend that is now very popular.\u00a0 Here is more information about Son & Garden<\/a><\/strong> from their own website.
