Best Wedding Florists in San Francisco

We constantly are asked before our San Francisco city hall wedding photography bookings to suggest great local florists.  Although there are none that we work with exclusively, we can give you some of the more popular names that our brides have used in the past.  Please keep in mind that we can not provide you with a personal recommendation for any of these florists.  We are going mainly on the positive feedback we have received from our San Francisco city hall brides and grooms.  Who better to recommend?

Part of the problem with city hall weddings as compared to large weddings is that we really do not get the chance to meet with the florists.  At a large weekend wedding, the florist usually comes to the venue to deliver the flowers and also decorate the reception area.  Since we are usually setting up at this time, we often get the chance to meet with these florists.  This helps us to get a better feel for the people in charge and of course see the floral decorations ourselves.  San Francisco city hall weddings do not provide this opportunity so its a bit harder to make a good solid recommendation.

We had to take off one of our former suggested florists, but feel it is better to make sure we only refer current and active florists.  Unfortunately, it seem that the Pandemic put some of our favorite florists out of business. 

• Urban Flowers – Urban Flowers has been around for a long time and are a well established San Francisco Florist.  Their Yelp page has over 200 reviews and is very highly rated.  Located very close to San Francisco City Hall!
  
  
• Bella Fiora is another very well known local wedding florist.   Their proximity to San Francisco’s famed Nob Hill makes them a little more pricey, but with great quality.  Another shop with great Yelp reviews and quite popular with city hall brides.  This is another florist we often recommend to our engaged couples.  They have not been disappointed so far.  Bella Fiora is fairly close to San Francisco city hall.
  
  
• The Floral Loft is not a florist that we have personal experience with, but we have heard good things.  They are located close to SF city hall and have incredible Yelp Reviews with over 85 positive experiences documented.  Even though we cannot personally recommend them, the writing seems to be on the wall for this fine San Francisco Florist.  Excellent Yelp reviews and lots of local usage.  I have not heard anyone speak negatively of this florist.  I know that some of our San Francisco city hall couples have used the Floral Loft with great results.
  
  
• Nob Hill Florist is another San Francisco Wedding florist that we are not sure that we have personal experience with.  It definitely seems like we have had brides tell us about this company though!  Again, just looking at their Yelp page I see a couple of things.  First of all, they have nothing but 5 star reviews which is pretty incredible.  Also important is the fact that as you go through the reviews, you see many pictures of San Francisco city hall weddings featured.  Not sure about the pricing on this company, but they are definitely worth checking out!  The City Hall pictures show that they are a major player when it comes to elopements here.  To me that is a huge benefit, because it tells you they are familiar with surroundings and certainly will not get lost!

Wedding Photography at City Hall with Flowers

One of the reasons we are providing this information is that it kind of goes along with our very strong recommendation that all brides have a floral bouquet for their city hall wedding.  Despite San Francisco city hall’s amazing beauty there is one small flaw – not much color.  The walls and floors are either white or gray.   Beautiful architecture for sure, but very neutral colors. Just for fun, I thought it would be interesting to share some information for our brides about the history wedding flowers. Why did the tradition of a bride carrying a Bouquet get started?
